I have a 2000 2wd 1500 GMC sierra 5.3. It has a 3 in body lift and I think 6 inches of lift from fabtech. My alignment is bad on both front tires, but worse on one side because my control arms. This truck was a gift, balljoints went out before I got it, so someone put what looks to be a home made upper control arm. I don't have enough income right now to afford new fabtech or cognito arms. So what my question to you guys is, is can I get moog control arms with offset bushings to make my alignment right and truck ride right? What is your suggestions? Thanks for your help. Will post pictures in a few mins

i hate to steer you to another forum, but this one is based more around racing which usually means lowered trucks in most cases. the guys on gmfullsize.com are more into the lifted truck on stock gears and 40" tire scene. they can probably give better advice on lift components.

I've never been a big fan of these kits, too much geometry change w/o dropping the lower control arms imo.
I think your best bet would be to replace the springs with OEM springs + a coil spacer... or 1" lift springs (basically dropping your front down 2"). Then you can ditch those goofy *** UCAs for some OEM ones. This should get your alignment where it needs to be, even if it means dropping down to the next tire size (unless you're running 35s, you should still be ok).
After that I'd suggest you save up for the Pro Comp 7". That kit comes with the front xmember drop and can be had for less than $1,350 if you look hard enough. I know it sounds like an expensive plan but once you start getting above 4" of suspension lift it cost big money to do it the right way and still have your steering/suspension parts last.
