Smile 98-03 Blazer question...

I'm looking for a 98-03 Blazer 4x4 for some fun in the trails and stuff. Since I'm planning on giving it a 6" lift I may need a little more power. I'm more of a turbo man so I was hoping someone might know what a twin turbo setup might cost for the 4.3 and where I could find one. I'll be going for a clean blazer that will turn heads but I won't be afraid to kick up some mud now and then. Any tips and answers to my question will be greatly appreciated.

I really havn't seen a twin set up for the 4.3, They might be out there but more than likely be a custom job. Are you planning on building up the internals of the motor?

the internals won't handle a whole lot of boost unless you beef it up to Sy/Ty specs.

If you can work with a 2-door model, find a ZR2 Blazer. 31" tires, beefed suspension/axles, it sits a good bit higher than a normal Blazer too. checkout the forum on www.zr2.com

Yeah I am at least going to put a cam if i can find a good one, forged internals and head work. I looked for about 4 hours online for any turbo work but it seems there isn't much f anything out there about it, so I'll have to have someone help me custom build the setup. As far as the model. I'm leaning more toward a 4-door but I am really considering the ZR2. It might also be better to get the ZR2 for the shorter wheelbase and seemingly more balanced weight.. not to mention the 3" factory lift

I had a 2000 ZR2 and i loved it. you can throw some 32's on it and go just about any where. I know you said you are a turbo guy but they do make a couple of supercharger packages for the s series. I think the stock 4.3 internals are safe with like 5lb of boost.

Thats cool. I'm thinking of setting up to run 33 or 35's. I can also possibly consider a supercharger if it ends up too costly for a turbo setup. I did decide I should get the ZR2 because of the advantages. Maybe I'll install a roll cage.. Any suggestions?
