Well guys been lookin at the SS kolbalt and craftsman tool boxes lately and it appears the Kolbalt are a little more quality.

I'm more than happy with my craftsman stainless box, I made a thread about it in here a few months ago. I don't work out of it for a living but I'm a pretty heavy use do-it-yourselfer and its holding up great.

 

If they both have ball bearing drawers, go for the least expensive of the two, as I'm sure that they're fairly comparable to each other

 

Looks like a good one. I wish I had gone with the roller bearing box. I just have a regular drawer craftsman box and its no comparison to my dads craftsman box with the roller bearings.

Friend has one, it's really nice. Use their 20% coupon on top of the sale price (they are in their store catalogs and in the back of Maxim). I heard they are based on a Snap On box's build specs and made in China (for obviously cheaper), but don't hold me to that.

Without unlimited funds, I would rather have Snap On tools in a HF box than the other way around.

 

The HF boxes are decent but the drawers aren't as smooth and the sheetmetal is thinner than my craftsman but then again its about half the price. Just don't plan on putting a lot of heavy tools in the bottom drawers and you ought to be ok.

 

Save your money on the Chinese Cman and Kobalt boxes, look for something used on craigslist. I just bought an older 23 drawer 41" ballbearing Husky box for $300 off CL. It's like new and is far sturdier than the new pinch welded china boxes.

Food for thought...I have an older Craftsman and it does me will, no issues at all, but as stated above, I don't work out of mine, but it is full of tool that I use occasionally. And you don't have to spend an *** load of the big name trucks that drive around and give you layaway!

 

The other issue with the HF box is that the drawers are only 16" deep
