Just figured out my current site's profit percentage from last month (compared to monthly average), and it's an eye-opener! The word "profit" should NOT be used in the previous sentence!!! At least my company uses realized gains to plan/budget for operational improvements across this 30 yr old place. No profit = no project work = employee/contractor downsizing. <---not good

I know engineering firms & construction industry is suffering now.

I work for a engineering firm as well out of beaumont, and I am still working 55-66 hours a week. (11 hr days, I get paid to drive to and from the job) I have been out at Total for a year and a half or so now and Turnner, and Fluor are the only ones that might be hiring.
