Just a quick suggestion, I know that performabuilt does not post all that goes in the tranny. See if you can find out if they install an Input Drum Support Ring
(hardened reinforcement drum sleeve & Piston kit) &
You can get spider cracks on drum at shaft area which are caused by hard 1-2 shifts, high torque or heavy vehicle. The kit is $49 and a cheap add on worth the money.
I am sure they use Aluminum accumulators intead of the brittle plastic ones. One last thing, have them use a torrington bearing instead of a stock one to better protect your planets.
If you get the support ring you will also need this $60 Short Inner Race and included the Torrington Bearing for the above Sonnax Input Drum Support Ring kit. If that bearing goes out, your planets are toast. Or at least just get the Torrington bearing.

To bad it doesn't help with a failure like this: http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/8...nsmission3.jpg

I personally like the sleeved drum with a billet over run piston and a steel bonded forward piston. I have seen many shafts float in drums causing failures over the years. When I build units I always check to see if the input shaft is good n tight in the drum whether a sleeve is used or not. With the weight of a truck that input drum needs all it can get. I say get a sleeved drum. Just the other day I threw three nice looking drums away because the shafts pressed out easy. With that being said how long will it take before it starts to float? Just my 2 cents. Vince
