RIP Transmission... 4/24/2010
so with my luck the day before my birthday, my transmission takes a **** on me. on the road home from work i give it just a little gas to get out of first gear (i did not mash on it at all) and i hear something pop, then my truck sort of nose dives, and i throw it in neutral and coast to a local corner store. i turn the truck off, then back on and put it in reverse, everythings fine so far. then i put it in drive and a really loud grinding noise turns on. then i give a little gas to see if i can make it home and the grinding gets louder, then when i reach 2k rpms it pushes the truck a little then falls and climbs back up to 2k repeating.. while my speedometer is flying to 30 mph.. anybody have a clue what it is? on top of that should i get it rebuilt? or just get a new trans? my buddy kind of has me in the market for a performabuilt!!!
thanks
thanks

I feel your pain, but can't say it happened right before my birthday....
Performabuilt is good, I have and FLT Stage 4...Call FLT and do your shopping. the list goes on on who you can choose... if you have any questions, shoot them over. Oh, just get a new trans.
