XM/Serius VS iPod
#11
I have XM and love it. iPod is nice, but your picking the songs out, and if your like me and still unexcuseably on dial-up, your screwed. With XM, there are channels I will never listen to, but with the stations I do like, I get to hear lots of songs I like, UNSENSORED, which is big to me, I don't like some deciding for me what may be offensive. Also, I have heard so many bands for the first time on XM that I end up really likeing, its worth it to hear some of the rare/unique stuff.

iPod here. I have well over 5000 songs to choose from on my computer. College direct connect networks are under the RIAA radar. HAHA. I can get any song within seconds. literally. But if you don't have that, I don't think its worth it to pay for them. So for you, get XM/Sirius.

well Sirius just cam out with the anwser for me
The S50 its a awsome turner plus it works like an iPod holds up to 50 Hours you can put songs off your computer on it or DL off the satalite and for $279 after rebate (and before my company discount) its comparable in price to the iPod.

XM is really nice and you have a broad selection if you like rock. as far as iPods go, they're pieces of junk. If you're really looking into getting an mp3 player get a Creative Zen Micro 6gb or something. From personal experience at work I can jsut tell you right now, about 1/4 of everything we check in to go out to service/return is an ipod because the new ones suck.
