Default what are some good door speakers

I am looking to replace my 4 truck speakers . the front are 6.5 inch and the rear are 4x6 . some one put cheap coaxil 6.5 in place of the stock componets and the rear 4x6 are stock 14 year old speakers . has any one used "power bass" ? i was thinking of just getting some polk db 4x6 and some kappa 6.5 i dont have a 4 channel amp yet but will be adding one but looking to do the speakers first. should i get componets or get a good coaxil is there much of a differance ?

I would do a good set of components in front like the alpine type R or the kicker QS' and a good 2 channel. Like a 100.2 and not do the rears. your front stage is much more important. you will save a little bit of money and sound better.

Since these trucks have components from the factory I would get a good set of components and a small amp like was stated earlier. I haven't had good luck with Polk 4x6's in any of my trucks. They've all lasted about 6-8 months then they just quit working.

i all depends on how much you want to spend. for the most part, you get what you pay for...

Exactly...get what u pay for, money talks or should we say sings in your ear like the fat lady at a buffet! Ive had some good Diamonds and MB Qs although most brands now days have a number of styles and price range.

Search Cadence on eBay. Just put them in all 4 corners of our RCSB. I've been messing with car audio for 20 yrs - JL, Quart, Polk, Dynaudio, Eclipse, Alpine, Boston, Boston Pro...I've probably had 30 sets of speakers in various cars. Even without considering the $$, these are very good.

I started driving them from the Fact HU until I completed the system this week. The sound was VERY good. Now we are running 100wx3 from a vintage ADS PH15 Amp. The 4x6" are off the HU and faded WAY down. Low end is being handled by a Jl Shallow 13TW5

I probably will move the tweeters up to the A-pillars as the image is a bit low, but I was short on time this go around.

The bass response will blow you away.
