Default what replacement speakers sound good

I was all in the stereo stuff back in the day but it's been a while.

What sounds good in chevy ext cab truck. looks like I can do 6.5" in the front doors and 4x6 in the rear. I am curious if anyone is running component speakers since there is spot to mount tweeters in the doors?

I am looking to run off deck power, most likely a Kenwood Excelon or Alpine.

Let me know what your running and what you think of it.

if you want great sound then you'll need a amp, doesnt have to be some big a$$ amp but one to push the sound through speakers i run the alpine 6.5 components in front and alpine 4x6s in the back door panels, also running the components without the tweets hooked up and its LOAD!!!

p.s. i also have 2 subs for bass lol

I don't to wire the truck up for sound. I just want a good deck and some decent door speakers. Nothing major. To clarify, you have components but the tweeters are not hooked up? Any reason why? Also, what model number are the speakers?

I have MB Quartz 6.5 components in the front and 5.25 semi components in the rear doors. Both are premium line running off a JL amp.

I would not run the 4x6's. I would run 5.25 coaxials in the rear doors.
