Default what radar detector ?

Has any one went from a valentine one to a escort 8500x50 ? I am getting tired of moving my V1 from truck to car back and forth . Does any one use the escort 8500 or rx65 if so how do you like it ?

I had the 8500 and got two tickets in a year. Sold it on eBay and bought a V1, five years, tons of road trips and ticket free.

Dad has the valentine and I have an escort 8500x50. I bought the Valentine for my dad to put in his Corvette one Christmas and since it was winter he put it in his truck and it has never made it out since then LOL. I have tested it out a few times when driving truck though and was impressed with how far away it was detecting.

Have had the Escort in my truck for a few years now and it's hit or miss. I have had it detect a cop around a corner when it was pitch black out form a LONG ways away and then other days I get right on top of them before it makes a single noise.

I just try to watch the problem areas and ease up on the gas, haven't use the Escort in a while. If interested I might be willing to sell mine, I have an additional hard wire kit for it also
