Wholly cow this thread has come alive. Well my budget I would really like to stay in is around $1000-1500 for the whole thing. The only part I am dead set on is the pioneer head. I like them the best of all of them, just a personal preference though.

All of that, because years "in the industry" don't amount to ****, in most cases. If you're recommending mainstream stuff over lesser-known stuff, that's better quality, you're a typical audio dealer/installer. Focal doesn't make junk, and their lower level stuff isn't junk either. I worked at a shop for years. Sonic has overhead just like a shop. Warehouses, staff, etc. Shops have no more overhead than an internet retailer of that sort, in this case. Shops overcharge. Period. Senseless bastards that have been "in the industry" are to blame. You're obviously one of those brilliant minds, seeing as how you STILL haven't picked up on how I'm neither offended, nor not new to the audio scene. You'll carry on in this thread, yet not reply to my other comment to you on another thread where I offered you the last word. People really do blow my mind. I appreciate you gracing me with your pure intellect.
Apparently you are mad seeing as how you keep justifying yourself, and keeping this going. I'm not replying to your other post because I don't feel the need to keep shitting on someone's thread, but apparently you don't have this issue.

Well, in my opinion, I would go with an alpine MRX-F30 for 170 and an MRX-M100 for 250 for amplification

Subs I would run Pioneer Pioneer TS-SW3001S4 a pair for 200 bucks

Speakers I would stick with your infinity picks, or possibly check your local shops and see if they carry Hertz speakers. The energy line of components and coaxial speakers would be close to that price range, and sound positively amazing.

I would honestly find a local shop to purchase your wiring because I highly doubt you will find a wiring kit that will work as it comes. But you will need 1/0 power wire a distribution block, then 4awg wiring to go to your amps. 4awg ground wire, 3 sets of RCA's, remote turn on wire (and preferably a relay to boost the amperage coming from the head unit). You're also going to need speaker wire to run to your components, and more than likely rear speakers.

That should be slightly over your $1000 price, but still significantly lower than 1500.

Not going to go into anything else but I seen you mentioned you are dead set on the Pioneer HU. I had the one that I think is a step up from that one and had a lot of dead noise and feedback with it. Tried different cables, different wires, checked the grounds and the best I and a few other audio shops that I trust with my truck came up with was the deck it self was poorly grounded by design and was picking up interference.

The deck it self as far as functions, ease of use and looks was top notch but the dead noise/interference drove me nuts.

This was the one I was using. Not trying to say completely avoid Pioneer cause they make good stuff just wanted to share my only experience with their head units.
Amazon.com: Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD 7" In-Dash Double-DIN DVD AV Receiver with iPod/iPhone Control, Pandora: Car Electronics

Looking forward to seeing all the parts installed.

Well I guess I will buy the head locally and if it has dead noise and problems then I will have the option to take it back. I sure hope I won't have a problem though, I really do like the look of them compared to others. Maybe it was just a bad unit? I hope anyways for my sake, not yours ha.

There is a known issue with Pioneer radios blowing their "Pico fuse" which acts as a ground for their RCA outputs. This can cause engine noise. The only time I personally have had them blow is when I was being dumb and plugging in RCA's or unplugging them with the radio on. Either way, it's a simple fix soldering a resistor on the board, or some people like to wrap a wire around the ground (outer part) of their RCA's and ground that wire to the chassis of the radio.

Oh well that might have explained it then. To my knowledge I wasn't playing with wires and rca while it was on but might have forgotten so who knows.

OP hope you have no problems cause they are great looking decks

Well I will defiantly show everyone when it is done. At the moment I am just gathering ideas for everything. Tomorrow actually starts work on the truck. I am going to take the bed off, and drop the transmission. I will be posting in other threads for suspension, engine, interior and other stuff I will want to put on later. This truck needs LOTS of work and TLC but I grew up driving it so I really want to fix it up.
