Default What causes the signal lights to stay on?

Why are my interior signal lights staying on when the lights are on? I know that it'll do that if theres a bulb burnt out but theres not. It all started when I changed the bulbs to those new style LED 360 degree bulbs. 4 in the rear and 2 in the front. At first a couple didn't work then I 180 the bulb and got them to work. Now the side marker lights don't seem as bright as they used to. I changed them back to the ones that I had in there before and that didn't change anything except that sometimes I blow the left turn and the stop lamp fuses. If I have the lights on all the lights work but my turn signals don't flash, they work normal with the lights off. There might be a wiring problem somewhere but I don't know

Sounds like the led's are causing your problems. The draw so much less current that the pcu thinks it has bulbs out. That doesn't explain why you are blowing fuses though. You might need to put resistors in with the leds to draw more current so the truck knows they are there.

They are designed for 3157 which is what the truck is supposed to take. I had the APC leds in there before with no problems with them.

I'm sure they fit in the slot but just the fact that they draw less current confuses the computer into believing there is a bad bulb. It is not a problem with all led's and the APC's might have had a built in resistor to solve the problem or just happen to draw enough of current to not cause a problem. I believe you can get pre-made resistor kits to solve the problem. If you want to check your truck out and make sure it is working properly you can always put stock bulbs back in all of the sockets and see if it opperates correctly. If it still has problems then its would be time to start looking into the wiring. I highly suspect it is the new led's causing your problems though.

are you using the correct bulbs in the correct places your turn signal bulbs i believe are 3156 which in a normal bulb would be a dual filament bulb. also if your brake lights would be 56 as well so i would double check what you have in there. go to sylvania.com to find a fitment guide for your vehicle. also apc stuff is crappy check vleds.com or autolumination.com or superbrightleds.com all three sites are good i just ordered some from vleds myself and i have had them for a while they work well. also you do need the resistors i think all the sites sell them and they are like no more then 5 or 8 bucks. my tails are leds that i bought off of ebay the whole top of the tail is leds and the turn signal and the reverse lights are regular bulbs. if you have any other questions ill help you the best i can pm me or email me at dlawson@patmedia.net Ps u can also go to the auto parts store and purchase a new flasher for it as well but i just put the resistors in myself it was easier takes five minutes to install.

I went to the sylvania website an found the guide, and it shows that I use the 3167 bulbs. I'll try the turn signal flasher and if that don't work the resister thingie.
