Botch the mtx's and get something that sounds good. You can get quite a bit of audio equipment brand new off ebay for cheap. Just dont buy garbage. You can get fosgate coax's cheap brand new. I bought 2 pair for my gf and paid under $80 shipped for all the highs. They sound good, as good as most coax's under the $100 dollar range. Theres soemonee on ebay right now selling a bunch of concept subs for like $50-60 a piece brand new. And they are way better than the mtx's, they would eb the equivalent of a JL w3. I would pick up a fosgate amp cheap, i got a RF 400s for under $100 for my front components. Its all a matter of doing a little research to find what you want dont just buy something cause its cheap, you can get stuff you know is good for the same prices or a bit more. You can run your stock head for the time being, but it will make a big difference in your overall sound if you upgrade. Sell your stock deck on ebay they usually go for $100 or more. PM me if you have any questions.

Wow, xXxSilveradoxXx that is impressive. How does it sound? Looks like a very nicely built up system.
I don't have any pictures of my system, but this is what I have.

Top of the line Pioneer Head unit
Rockford Fosgate PA2 EQ
(2) 5.25 Diamond Audio Hex Components, one set in kick panels, other in rear doors
(1) 6.5 Diamond Audio Hex Components in the front doors
(2) 12" Diamond Audio MacDaddy's
Custom box to fit under the seat, down firing subs
RF 800 4 channel amp
RF 800 2 channel amp
RF 350 2 channel amp
1 RF capacitor
Optima Deep Cycle Battery
Dynamat in the doors
and A LOT of wires!

Thanks for the possitive things you guys have said, I've had some haters really **** me off before. I've never had it metered but I'd love to do it, I might get it done next week in Sacramento. I sounds frickin awsome. The only problem is that girls want to sit on the back seat, must have something to do with the subs.....oh well. I want to build another box just like this one only with lots of plexiglass. Neons will go inside and when I get my Katzkin Leather done I'll get the box covered in matching leather. Should look sweet!!! I might get leather installed in the next couple of weeks depending on the LQ9 for sale in the classifieds. If I can't get that I'll build the other box and sell the one I have now. It has four (4) tens (10s) Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2s. I'll let you guys here at ls1tech.com before I list the box on Ebay. Thanks again.

check my website, you can see what i did to the Z71 EC. i will admit that it is not the best sounding system out there, but it is a start. have someone custom design you a box. go with 2 10" or 2 12"'s. i would then have them wire a mono amp, 1000 watts or more (2-4 gauge wire). then have another amp giving power to your doors with separates. definitely start with an aftermarket MP3 player. hell of alot better than a disc changer

I agree, MP3 is the only way to go. It's a godsend.
