Default Tapping into H/U Speaker outputs

Guys,
Putting speakers and amp in my truck. Anybody ever use this piece from Scosche. Supose I could buy another SVEN LOC and tap it in to power all 4 RCA inputs to the amp?

Thanks,

You just need two of them so you can adjust fade and balance

waste of money in my opinion. all that is doing is giving you a rca adapter the easy way and your spending 10 times as much money on it. a good rca adapter is about 15 bucks. all you have to do is tap into your rear speakers for signal for your sub amp and tap into your fronts for your mids and high amp. you will not have a front to rear adjustment but you will have a left to right. i believe that is right on the adjustments not 100% though. ill get the colors for you in a sec

Thanks for the input guys. I do want to keep all the fade front to rear and side to side if possible. I agree they are expensive. I like the idea that I could just plug this in and go. Just splicing in a second LOC then splicing the speakers outs back into it. I could also keep the factory wiring in place in case I ever pulled it out. Last time I was in the dash the plug was fairly short and I really dread getting in there and cutting 8 and splicing 16 wires back. Getting old and fat.

haha. your never going to get all those adjustments with a factory radio because theres not any outputs for one and when you put an output on there you cant put enough. your best bet is to take that money and go buy a nice headunit and put in your truck

Yeah probably should get a head unit. Don't want to loose my steering wheel controls, then the money for the fake door chime unit and the theives drooling over and aftermarket head......

Guess I'm missing something. I have 4 outputs? Front (right/left) Rear (right/left) Should be able to control balance r/l and fade front/rear. I can now. Why not with and amp?

Thanks,

im about to go home for the day so ill sum it up for you both ways.
if your just putting in a mids and high amp then you will be cool. use your rear speakers for the rear input on the amp and your fronts for the front input for the amp. to do it like you are saying its going to cost you over 200 bucks just for those things which is a waste of money to me. you could get some of those tap things where you dont have to cut the wire but im not sure how good they work

if your doing a mids and high amp and a sub amp then youll use the rear speakers for your input for the sub amp and you use your front speakers for your mids and high amp input. doing this you will have only left to right and not front to back settings. anything else you want to know let me know

Alpine F340 4Channel Amp
Front speakers to the front outputs
Rear speakers to the rear outputs
Infinity BassLink to the Pre-amp output or possibly use the line level inputs

I will probably skip the scosche unit above. I've already bought 2 24pin male/female wire harnesses from Scosche for a Saturn. They will plug into H/U and the wire harness, the pin-out may be wrong and pretty certain the wire colors are different but I should be able to make them work. If it sounds like crap with just line level inputs I'll probably buy the JL CleanSweep to clean it up. It's over $300
