Default Subwoofer upgrade 2005 Ext cab

So I am looking to upgrade the subs in my 05 Gibbs ext cab. Currently I have a set of RE audio 10's in a downfire box with a 500 watt amp and I am NOT happy with the performance and sound of them in that box. It was something quick I picked up a few years back to get some sound in my truck but now I am sick of it and its flat sound.

Now I have a set of Kicker L7 10's laying in the house I picked up last year cheap, and I came across this box and I'm wondering if anyone is running one and how it sounds. 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab Truck Dual 10" Kicker Square Subwoofer Enclosure Sub...

The cubic space is much more then what I currently have so that is a plus, I don't haul around passengers in the back seat much so I don't care about them losing foot space. Thanks in advance!

If I was in your shoes, I would do a seat lift and 4 forward facing 8s ported on about 1.5kw

Yea, but as I said I already have the Kicker 10's so I'm going to stick with that plan. Just want someone to chime in if they have used this box or not, Or even forward facing vs downward.

Thanks though...

I have two 12s in a rcsb, in a box that dont have that much volume and it sounds pretty good, so if i was guessing it would sound pretty good.

what is the peak for the subs?? might need a bigger amp to..
