I think you can add foam to the inside of the box to increase the effective volume.

pretty sure 2ohm is what most shoot for. more sound, and a little more likely to distort. from what i understand, 4ohm has a cleaner crisper sound, but doesnt have that hit of 2ohm...i'm not sure how good my sources are though. i've always run 2 ohm to my downfire subs and they sounded great!

Some brands to look at would be JL audio, sundown audio, digital designs.I have heard all of these in similar setups and they all sound really well. As said above, use some polyfil, or cotton pillow stuffing in the box.

I had two JL 10" W1s in my extended cab, powered by a 600 mono, hit really hard and was super clean at all volumes. JL is the ****. they were in the under seat box facing down.

there is not a difference in sound from 2 ohm to 4 ohms..there is different ohms so you can connect different ways according to the ohm ratings on amps..there are single 2ohm subs single 4 ohm subs and then there are dual 2 ohm and dual 4 ohm subs.. with subs that have dual voice coils the only difference is you have more different options of hooking up your subs..if you hook if your subs to 1ohm and your amp is only rated to 2 ohms minimum once you turn it up you will notice your amp will shut off
every amplifier has a certain power rating they make according to the ohm they are hooked up at..for example an amp can make 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm and 750 watts at 2 ohms
if your subs are ratted at 300 watts rms than you want to get two subs that will be able to be connected at two ohm because if you hook them up at 1 ohm you will frry your subs..thats the reason why you look at how much power an amp makes at certain ohms and then you match it up with your subs ohms as well

Just buy two Sundown Audio E10's from WoofersEtc.com. There like 110 bucks a piece and sound great. They will work in small sealed enclosures and you will be happy. if your buying Two, get the dual 2 ohm subs, if your only buying 1, get the dual 4 ohm. Easy peasy.
