Default Stock Speaker Replacement's

Did a few searches and couldn't come to a conclusion on this so here goes. I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to audio so I need some help. I'm looking for some direct replacements for my front door speakers 6.5's and the 6X9's in the rear. I don't really want components because I have the base model door panels and have nowhere to mount the tweeter. I realize I should run an amp to all of the speakers and add a sub for best sound quality, but I really don't want jack w/ all of that. Plus I want to keep the stock HU since its a 6 disc.

Question is what do you guys recommend for stock replacement speakers that will bolt in the stock locations? I'd rather have form over function here, so I'd like to duplicate the factory dims of the speakers if that makes sense. Any help is appreciated....

I've seen component sets that have the tweeter mounted right in the cone of the 6.5 and 6x9s. Pretty sure they were eclipse speakers. I installed them in a corvette and they sound great. It was with an aftermarket headunit, but I'm sure they'd sound good with the stock one.

I thought the rear speakers were 4x6's? I've been looking into upgrading my speakers to a nice component set for a while. I've heard upgrading the rear speakers isn't really worth it though since you get better sound staging from the fronts anyway.

i like the infinity reference we put in my dads truck off the factory HU they sound good. and just for clarification it is 4x6 in the rear not 6x9. honestly i wouldnt recommend component speakers anyway if you are going to keep the factory HU because they usually require more power than the coaxial speakers do. you want low rms power rating and high db efficency for the stock HU and new speakers to sound their best.

Thanks for the info man. Yea not sure where I got 6x9's from? Happen to have the Infinity part #'s you guys used by chance? The info about rms and efficiency is something I hadn't heard before, but makes perfect sense for the stock HU.

You will gain more by putting a nice clean amp with your stock hu and speaker than to get new speaker an run them off you stock hu.

My post was to try and help. Instead of spending 1 to 3 hundred on new speakers. I suggest to spend 2 or 3 hundred on a amp and keep the stock hu and speakers.
