Stock BOSE questions 2003 model
#1
Does anyone have the specs on the bose stock amp? Is it true that you can't just add new door speakers to the stock amp?
Is it possible to keep the stock deck and by pass the bose amp and add a new amp to power the doors and a new amp for a sub.
Main thing is I still want my steering wheel controls and dont mine the stock deck?
I guess I'm wondering how far can I take the stock deck with out going aftermarket? Thanks for any help.

You just need this module (PAC AOEM-GM24) to hook up additional amps for subs and what not. They run about $50-$60 on ebay new. I am not sure about possible problems with using the stock stuff to run different speaks.

Well as far as your steering controls with an aftermarket radio very easy piece to hook up. Module is a SWI-X steering wheel interface made my PAC.
Your 2003 should have the amp in the center console there is all your wires that you will need to hook into far a 4ch. if you want to go that route.
In most of the systems many people replace the Bose speakers with aftermarket your choice and they will work with the Bose amp BTW.
I would keep your Bose amp and just add Bass and throw some new speakers in the truck I think it evens everthing out.
Good luck if you wiring diagrams to help you along PM me or I can just post them up for you either way.
