Default Stereo Removal

My 99 silverado LT is about to get herself a new indash navigation system. I usually buy from Crutchfield, but the deal at cardomain wasn't something to pass up.

So, is the stereo removal straightforward? Or should i just order the instructions from crutchfield? Let me know the steps... thanks

It's easy.

1. Put gear shift into 1st gear
2. Tilt wheel all the way down
3. Pull off dash trim bezel (it just clips in, no screws or anything)
4. Squeeze the tabs on either side of the stereo and pull it out
5. Disconnect wire harnesses from back of stereo

That's it. You don't need a single tool.

No, I've never done that. I have a bench seat in my truck.
