I have a JL Audio 13t5 in my wife's truck with a 500/1 on it. It sounds really good but since they don't have much woofer throw they don't move much air. I am thinking about doing a pair of W3s under the backseat of my dually with 1k or 1200 true watts on them.

Ive got a pair of S12D's and wouldn't trade them for the world. They don't handle a lot of power, but man are they clean! Stragely efficient too.
I cant speak for the Solo L series. I hear theyre good, but question if they were built like the originals.
you should try them, we built them based off the A, C and D series original Solobaric's. 12's are .88 sealed, 10's .66 and .33 for 8's for optimal output.

I meant under the seat, almost all 10'' or 12'' subs will fit in a pro box made to go under the seat in trucks like yours.

Here are a couple pics of tens in my 03 RCSB

As for extended cabs- I had these same 10's in a custom down firing box under the seat and they sounded great.
