Default shallow mount pioneer subs any good?

I have a rcsb 02 sierra. I want to put 2 12'' subs behind each seat but i think 10" is the biggest you can go. well i found these, seem to be pretty thin and i think they will fit. does anybody have experience with these speakers? do they sound any good? worth the money? thanks fellas

heres a link just incase

IMO shallow mounts (at least the ones I have heard) do not sound good at all. They really lack the low end for sure. I would do 1 or 2 subs 8" or 10" regular size. The main thing is the box. You can make a lot of stuff sound good if the box is tuned for the sub thats going in it (not a prefab box). I have one 8" proted in my truck and it is every bit as loud as the 2 12" type R subs I had in a sealed box before that.

How high is your budget?? The JL 13TW5 shallow mount is bad ***. Has good clean deep bass. But kinda spendy..

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_13613TW...html?search=jl. And the JL 500.1 amp would be perfect to power it.

Check out vids on youtube. I heard 2 in a crew cab and the bass was just as clean as my JL W7 10 and and just as loud.

don't touch the pioneers if you want to save your money and not spend it on shitty equipment don't buy it!! IMO for a shallow mount the Memphis SClass is great like 250 for (1) 10 or 12 but it's basically a full range subwoofer they sound great really

There was a guy on gmfullsize that rated them, can't remember all of the order, but the JL shallows were way above most, with the Kenwood shallows being the next best. The rockfords, pioneers, and others were at the bottom with not much difference.

I am running 2 JL 10w1s behind my seats and have no complaints. I measured out how much room I had with the way I have the seat adjusted and had plenty of room for them. See how much room you have with your seat adjusted where you want and then look at subs.
