clarion makes some good stuff... it took me a second to figure out that it was an amp AND speaker togetther.. i thought it was one of those cd players for your shower, lol
but, ya, I also wonder what that would sound like. By looking at it, it looks like a door speaker with a little help from a 120w amp... but you never know. Let us know if u get it.

I will be selling kenwood KSC-SW1 in a week or two, its a poweded sub similar to that clarion, but better in design. Check it out on crutchfield. Its a really good sub but I listen to alot of hip hop/rap so I'm moving to a big sub/amp and sacificing tha space.

why not just put better speakers in the doors and run a small amp to them, there are plenty of door speakers these days that can handle a lot of power and will make some nice bass.

ive seen the kenwood, but have neglected to measure fitment.
the kenwood is a hair bigger than the clarion, and ive found where some say the clarion has more "boom" than the kenwood.
im not expecting to shake the house with this setup, just to fill in where the factory lacks.
LMK if you are interested in selling it.

Its will fit under the pasanger seat but I opted to put it behind so it wouldn't get dirty. As soon as I get my new system in I will post the kenwood up in the classifieds

Made in South Korea
I would just get a 10" sub and amp. Since you don't want a lot I sugest JBL sub with a hifonics amp. I have say stay away from those self powered units they never sound as clean as a nice sealed sub.
