Grab a flash light and take a look under your dash. All you need is a clear spot on the firewall behind the dash. (find something coming through the fire wall that you can use to reference the spot you picked when looking at the firewall from the engine bay make sure there is nothing behind the spot you picked and you'll be good!!) I recommend drilling a hole on the drivers side, you can rout your wire under the fuse panel and even put your fuse in there if you want. Doing that made my install a lot cleaner!!

I ran mine through a rubber grommet on the driver's side floorboard.

interesting under the drivers side floor board, that would be good, cause i hate drilling holes and using gromets.

What guage wire are you using? For my Basslink I was able to use the factory grommet on the driver's side, under the brake booster, where the factory harness passes through. I didn't use really big power wire though (can't remember what size actually, but definitely not like 0 guage or anything like that). If you're using some monster wire, you could drill a hole right around where that factory harness is, there's some blank space there...probably right beneath or next to the factory harness.

Here's mine...

i was looking at that last night, and wondered if i could sneak the wire in that. i think its like 8-10 guage, just running 1 semi small amp.

on the driver side fire wall there is a flat spot perfect for drilling. on my tahoe the fire wall fiberglass insulation stuff even went around the spot. thats where i drilled a hole for my amp power wire in my silverado, tahoe, and mcfarlnd's silverado.

Yea but remember I'm lazy. lol I like my way cuz I can wire an amp in like 10 minutes that way. I just poke through with a screwdriver and push the cable through.

Yep, 8-10 guage will work...I think that's about what I have (can't remember, pretty sure I got a 10g kit). It's a little tough to sneak the wire through there, but it's do-able.
