Default Power window conversion

I have an 03 4.8 ecsb base model with crank windows and need to install some power windows. Every person i have spoken to about power windows says the aftermarket kits are cheap and dont even work so those arent an option. What if i went to the dealer or bought the doors and wiring kit and paid a shop to do it? Please please help thanks

Its probably going to get expensive really quick. You would first have to buy the window regulators then all of the door switches/relays and new door panels. Power window door panels are different than the hand crank ones. So figure dealer cost of the items and dealer labor and your looking at probably close to a grand. (my guess)

Awesome! Great deal on that setup. Everything should bolt right up.

Are trucks prewired to accept the harness? Say you got everything at a junk yard. Is it plug and play?

they are not plug and play the harness isnt there, i've tried. im going to do power windows too, im leaving the door panels and am going to just plug the crank hole and wrap the panels and cut out a spot for the factory power window switches. Im going to build a harness for all of it and use factory switches, motor, and regulators.
