The factory navs that came in the tahoes WILL work since you have bose. I think all together its close to 1000$, I'm not sure. If you search theres a thread here that has ALL the details.
I dont know about the DVD playback
I'd imagine the wheel controls would work with nav unit on most things, but I really dont know if they do.
As for adding subs you have a few options. You can do a JL clean sweep (like $300 I think) its like a line-output converter but it has tons of adjustments, REALLY nice if you have the cash. Otherwise you can get one of the cheap line-output converters and add that, it will have your 2 RCAs. Then just get your amp, subs, run your wires and voila.

Factory nav does not support DVD playback. Steering wheel controls will work.
Look at soundgate.com/pie.net/pac-audio.com for line-outs to wire up a sub. I don't recall if these are available/what the limitations are...but one of those three companies will make such a product if it exists.
I've started (but not nearly finished) a writeup on the navs.

Look at the first link in that article for a very thorough (though not necessarily organized) discussion of it.

Any headunit you install, whether its a fold out screen, single din or double din will allow you to use your bose. It cant just not let you use bose, the bose amplifier isnt built into the factory headunit.
As for aftermarket HUs that have DVD playback and NAV there are a few. Alpine, kenwood and eclipse are all good ones. The alpine is the cheapest double-din out of all 3 of them I think, but I think you have to buy an antenna or some **** to "add" nav to it. If you go swing by best buy, circuit city or a local custom stereo shop they can show you exactly what you would need.
As for the bose sub, its in the center console. I think its a 6" sub.

I Had A 2003 Tahoe That I Replaced The Head Unit With A Pioneer Dvd Flip Out. I Kept The Factory Bose System And Added A Sub And It Worked Great.
I Just Bought A Denali With The Factory Nav System And I Found A Company That Integrates A Dvd Player To The Factory Nav Head Unit So You Can Watch Tv On The Nav Screen. That Way You Keep The Steering Wheel Controls Also. Im Adding The Subs This Week. Check Out Nav-tv.com (i Think)
