I am wiring up an alpine D310 with external brain. Im goin to put the brain under the driver seat. I got it of a buddy with an 03 and I have a 00. So im having a harness made but I dont know what to do about the parking brake. Id like to be able to watch dvd's while driving.

Ive herd I can ground that wire.

Ive herd I can put some sort of switch in.

Please any input would help.

 

Easy Easy, you have two wires one of them will go to your brake pedal the one you brake with not the E-brake.
The other hook to a toggle switch that goes to ground.

Flip the toggle twice with your foot on the brake and your done.
