i'm very happy with my Alpine 9886. it's got great features: iPod/iPhone control, satellite/HD radio ready, usb input, all for 300 wing *****. it's the best unit out right now for the price IMO. the only thing i hate about it is it's only available in blue lighting (i want to do red LEDs in my interior lighting)
i'm also a huge fan of eclipse head units.

I have had Alpine since I was 16 and always liked them. I'm glad to hear people still like them. I was kind of thinking I liked the over sized units made for GM but their isn't a ton of them out there in my price range. I had never heard of eclipse until i got on here, but since I've been looking around I hear a lot of people talking about them.

eclipse is a good company and they've been around for a while. their selection isn't very diverse, but their stuff is top notch.

I've been looking at their stuff since I heard everyone talking about them. I'm not opposed to their stuff, I just like Alpine though.

Thank you sir! I'll have to check that out in the next couple days. I've been too busy to even mess with it.

Well I tore into it yesterday. I bought a line output converter, and let me tell you. That isn't the most fun I have had wiring anything up. That's for sure. I have finals this week so the truck is still torn apart, but I will try and throw pics up through the process. I tested everything out to make sure I knew what I was doing. Now it is just a matter of hiding all the wires. Thanks everyone for their help.
