Competitions are not just about bass. You may have to add a good set of mids and highs to seriously compete, even in pure loud competitions. I would look at completing your system, unless you have already and I missed that part..........

Looking for sound pressure pr db contests? Two 12s arent going to get you far. Look into some dynamat too they will give you a few more db. I would go with four 12s or 3 15s if I wass going to go to the expense of getting a custom box. Ditch the damn sony amps I have had nothing but bad luck with them I have burnt up two. I have had really good luck with MTX and Memphis amps and they run cool, hit hard and last forever. I constant;y beat on my system everyday from work(well until the motor blew) and my two memphis amps are holding up good.

I appreciate your opinions!!
I actually have the Rockford Fosgate Components...
I have always had good luck with Sony Amps!!! Had 2 in my last truck and they laster almost 3 years, before I sold them..
I already order the dynamat, but its not here yet...
I havent ordered the box yet.. I dont know where to go with a solid or Ported!?!@?

Solid or ported all depends on what kind of bass you are looking for. Do you want deep down bass or do you want the kind that you get when listening to rock music and go from there. Me personally I like the JL Audio W7 series one 13w7 should do the trick in a ported box they sound awesome but are very pricey. You just have to look at the expense you are going to go through and decide what you are looking to get out of the setup. What are your goals to achieve with this setup? Knowing that would help alot in my recommendation of which way to go. On the Sony thing I was jsut speaking from personal experience I just havent had good luck with them. The mids and highs IMO are good though I loike those.

ditch the sony amp. do a comparison test against a real amp rated half of that size. you'll see the light. you aren't going to get a piece of gold for the price of lead. as for street comps......NO. i know you mean a daily system and not a one note comp system. not trying to be mean, just want to give you a heads up on so you don't embarras yourself.
