Shitty ground will do this every time, you may also want to look at the gauge wire you are using on the fuse holder.

Definitely need to check your ground. It should be short, and the same or bigger gauge wire compared to your power wire.

Did you hook your amps up to that fuse box? Because they should be drawing from the Battery and the stereo remote wire.

I think he means the inline fuse for his amp power wire, near the battery. At least I hope that's how it's wired.

AHH.. okay, i misunderstood.
I'd agree on the ground, and trace the wire to make sure you didn't cut it some where causing it to ground out.

If the power wire was grounding out to the body, the fuse wouldn't stay around long enough to melt the holder, it would just blow..or he has a **** *** fuse holder.

Default Melting fuse holder

It's basically this. You are running more amperage through the wire than it should normally handle. Sounds like you may have too high a rated fuse for the wire gauge. You need to look at all the components that are fed by the fused wire. What is the total amperage draw? You need to be sure your wire gauge and fuse are adequate to handle that draw. All electrical components will be labeled with their amp draw. Or at least it will be included in the instructions. But it's a good bet there is a label on each device showing amp draw. I couldn't find a quick and easy chart showing what wire gauge/fuse you need. PM me with the total amp draw and I'll get you the info. And YES..... It is important to check all grounds. They will also cause problems of all sorts.
