2001 tahoe. i want to mount the stereo head unit in the console where the tape deck is . is anyone selling, made, making, the plastic piece that goes there that has ben re-done to eliminate the cd holder and tape deck and just to accept stereo ?

 

I have seen them on ebay before but none recently. Your best bet is getting with your local stereo shop or some you know that is good with fiberglass to have one custom made. There is a metal support bracket behind the tape deck so depending on the depth of the unit, the bracket may need to be modified to fit.
