Default LED Glass Mirror Install

I just bought some LED turn signal mirrors (Glass only) that I am installing on my truck this week. I have the same power mirrors as I am just adding the LED glass piece and not the whole mirror assembly. I remember someone saying they had some tips on how to install such as separating the mirror housing without breaking the plastic tabs. Any tips that can be shared would be appreciated so I can save time and avoid any problems.

Thanks!

no personal experience, but I did find this for you:

I can give you a little insight. I had to replace the glass on my 07 Tahoe. I'm pretty sure the inside will be similar. Hope the removal is close too.

I had to place the palm of my hand on the face of the glass and press in (for friction) then UPWARD to release the clips that attach the glass to the motor assembly. (Actually a tech told me this. I had to use a short, WIDE blade screwdriver to lift upward on the bottom of that mirror at the same time I pressed with my hand) Inside the leds are a seperate Item behind a small cover se first pic. The leds actually project through a small plastic reflector. It was all easily removed in pieces.
hope that helps
