Default How to disable 2004 escalade alarm?

Would like to ten the **** off and disable it. Some times it just comes on. Try to start it or even turn it off and it comes on. Over it and want to make it not work at all.

do you factory key tags not work ? or you key cylinders in the doors not work ?

both of those will disable the alarm

The key has nothing. Just a metal key

there may be a chip inside of the handle of the key.

You need to get a key fob or quit hitting the lock switch to lock the car. The lock switches arm the alarm, without a real GM key (plastic head) in the ignition you can trigger VATS as well. It's not that much money to get a working set.

Disabling the alarm is impossible without rendering wipers and locks inoperable as well. VATS can be tuned out but doesn't solve the crappy key problem.

Well, I'll see if tuning VATS out helps.
