I would get a decent head unit, a solid 100watt by 4 amp to power your front and rear door speakers, 2 nice sets of coaxials to go in your doors. You said you have 9 person seating, so if you are willing to build a center console box in the front for a couple of tens downfiring, you would retain all cargo space and have awesome bass. For the subs I would recommend edesignaudio subs- these http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...products_id=30 and a sub amp rated at 500-600 watts RMS into the proper ohm load for the voice coil configuration of the subs you have.

a suburban actually has 3 sets of speakers front doors rear doors & all the way back there 6x9s like loud said amp your doors...definately...you can get a shallow mount sub from almost anywhere I recommend either JL or Memphis SClass i can vouch for the Memphis...JL i've never heard but everyone on here stands by them like it's their first born...the deck doesn't have to be great really you could pick up a decent unit for 150 - 200...if you're looking for a screen i believe someone has a pioneer on this forum in the classifieds for ~400 or so...pick up a couple distro blocks for your ground & your power & run a minimum of 4 gauge wire from the battery back

You also have to remember a Burb is a large vehicle. A single small sub may not satisfy your needs as far as a subwoofer goes. You can take out the factory sub and with some fiberglassing, have enough room for a good 12, which I think is the bare minimum for a vehicle that large. Otherwise a small box in the cargo area is your best bet.

whats your price range?
i picked up this setup for a guy with a 68camaro i was working on and he loves it..for around 1650 dont expect to get it this cheap though
2 shallow mount mbquart 12s
2 sets of 6.5in component speekers with crossovers and tweeters
vintage sound radio
2 4in speakers in the dash
memphis big belle 5ch amp......
now is what i done is used the big belle because its a small amp and very powerful
by small i mean it is smaller than 2 amplifiers
i used the power from the radio for only 2 speakers with bass blockers on them
for your setup i would do the following mods:
yellow top battery
upgrade the wire from the alternator to the battery + use a 4ga
run a 4ga wire from the battery - to the body(an extra one)
it is essential to add the other ground since u will be pulling more current both + and -
also upgrade the motor grounds with 4ga wire the alternator makes both + and - current the - flows thru the casing and into the battery thru the chassis ground.
run a 4 gauge from the battery + to the amplifier
run a 4ga from the amplifier to the body for a - i try to find a bolt and use sandpaper of to make a clean contact
the crimp on yellow nylon connectors are ok but i was into spl and i went thru them like crazy the solution is to use copper lugs....O'Reilys has these but there behind the counter in many sizes and they also have the 2 4ga sizes u will need in the battery section. fill these with solder while heating with a propane torch and push the wire quickly in and then crimp before solder drys. havent had one fail yet
i know this seams like overkill but its better to upgrade the whole electrical system unless u like headlights dimming an alternators dying. and constant hassles of a faulty electrical system....
Head Unit........
DONT CHEAP OUT
Alpine iDA-X305 runs around 300 and its perfect if u have an ipod if u dont get one i dont think many people have CDs anymore why put a cd player in your car. But if u want u can always rip cds onto your pc and transfer them
you want something with a good sound board in it unlike my friends kenwood dvd player that has about as many sound controls as the model t
door speakers.....
i say go with the memphis audio component because there tweeter actually mounts in the subwoofer so there is no need for mounting it elsewhere
amp....
memphis big belle plenty enough power in a nice package
subs....
2 memphis shallow mount subwoofers......these actually use less space then the mb quarts
if u have any questions just pm me

Wow alot of misinformation here and some good info, ok try this....I know it works because it is what I did. I have Infiniti Kappa seperates in the front doors 6 1/2, components in the rear doors again Kappa and again 6 1/2, in the D pillars I am running Infiniti 3 1/2 the only reason I ran them was to have some rear fill for the kids when we traveled and they sit in the very back. The door speakers are powered by a 300/4 and the rear 3 1/2s are powered my the Sony double DIN I think it is the X-1a or something like that. In the stock sub location I have a JL Audio 13 TW5, the stock sub location is on the left if you open up the cargo door. The opening is for a 8 but you could trim the plastic and make a 10 work, we cut the entire area out and had a fiberglass grill/trim piece made and I have a 500/1 powering that sub. There is around .75 cubes of space behind that left side area and a good sub will sound awesome in there, plus it has 0 affect on the cargo area. All of my amps are under the middle row seats. If you need anything futher let me know, pictures or whatever.

lol im hoping by good information u meant mine lol
the stock charging system setup on the 99-06s isnt the best in the world before these upgrades on my 03 avalanche i used to watch the voltometer gauge dance
ive never owned a suburban or installed in one but for the 2 6x9s i would use a plate to use a 6in speaker and run those of the head unit with bass blockers on them
the question is what is the budget???
