look i bought the pioneer 6000, but what i want to know is to do the xm, do i call and have it activated on the head unit, or do i have to buy an adaptor or something? i wanted a head unit that had it all built in, and i will take this one back, im a little pissed cause i have xm now and it sucks because when i have to go through all the adaptors it doesnt sound as good as a fm station

with the head unit you will have to get a unit just for the pioneer and then call xm and transfer it to the new unit. You will have a antena that goes on your roof.
It's a lot clearer that way. The unit plugs into the back of the head unit.

well after getting mad as hell at the dipshit at circuit city trying to charge me 100 bucks for the special gm harness i gave him his junk back, and went to crutchfield and bought the kenwood x692 alot cheaper w/ free dash kit, antennae adaptor, and somethin else, then i only had to pay 40 bucks for the harness, and spent 130 for the xm set up, plus free shipping, all this greatly surprised me seeing how i was spending close 200$ less than at circuitcity and bestbuy, also everyone told me crutchfield was expensive, didnt seem too bad to me, thanks everyone for helpin choose wich head unit to go with
