Default Flex-a-lite fans 292 vs. 298

The 292 comes with a controller. The 298 does not. If I were planning on having the pcm control the fans, do I still need the controller used on the 292s?

You dont even WANT that FAL controller. Piece of crap and they spontaneously combust! If you are gonna go PCM controlled you dont even need the controller anyway.
