I've repaired the plastic part of the woofer with plastic epoxy, but never the rubber surround.

as far as replacing the rubber surroundings.... i have 3 mtx subs that i might as well fix while im at it. are they sub specific or can i just buy a generic 10" rubber surrounding? what all is involved in separating the sub from the torn surrounding and putting in the new ones?

Don't try to fix old subs...just buy new ones or send the old ones back to the factory. Fixing old ones is a waste of time and money
