Default dealer cant figure out door chime problem???

So i was coming home from snowboarding and my door chime starting going off non stop and the door locks started trying to lock and the dome light turning on... it keeps saying driver door adjar. So i took it to the dealer and they can't figure out what wrong with it, they have had it for 2 days and are now saying its due to the aftermarket alarm thats on it... Can anyone offer any info or advice...

they love blaming aftermarket alarms.

It could be the aftermarket alarm, or possibly a bad courtesy switch, or a problem in one of the wires/connectors to the L/F door. I had a similar problem on mine (it's a 99 though), and I diagnosed it as the driver's side courtesy switch which is in the lock mechanism in the door on mine. My problem was intermittent. I found the switch to be corroded due to water entering and dripping right on it. The switch came as part of the lock mechanism, which was less than $60 (my price) if I remember correctly. It's been fine since I replaced the lock/latch assy, (and also moved to a different address where I'm not parked on a slant that allowed the water to drip right on the lock mechanism lol)
