I tried one from wall mart and lost the function so I looked into it and bought one from best buy. It was a few bucks more but now my stereo stays on after I turn the key off. (until I open the door)

I have the walmart harness and mine still works with the key out. Its all how you wire it. Just experiment and see what works.

you just need to test the power wire when you shut the ignition to see if there is still power and then open door and see if it shuts off very easy no reley no special conector but the conector thunder shows is the best when you sell the truck unplug and plug stock back in.

so you have a seperate wire running to your power now? not the factory one in the harness?
