Any quality head unit will surpass the stock system. Swap out those crappy speakers too

A quality head unit is going to be your best bet. Especially with all the additional features you can pick like MP3, Bluetooth and the ability to run low level outputs to an aftermarket amp without the Fosgate 360 or JL Audio Clean sweep. I wanted to keep my factory look when I first got my truck but aftermarket just made more sense.

If you want a sub that fits in the center console JL Audio makes one for a 10" sub but to answer your question I wouldn't bother trying to use it. I think it's either a 5.25 or a 6.5" woofer in a plastic box. It's not even worth the time to hook it up.

ok thanks. i built a custom box for under my seat that downfires a 10" on the pass. side, but i could never make it sound right. i think it was because of the Line output converter, so i just took it out.
