Default Bose Sub Q. Anyone?

I am in the middle of throwing in my center console in my RCSB LS. It came with the sub and amp. Wiring is all in tact. Anyone have any idea if I can some how hook up my Kenwood stereo to that amp and sub? TIA for any info at all.

Do you know exactly what year and model the console came from? If so, you should be able to use that vehicle information and get a PAC wiring harness that's designed to work with the stock amp and sub and an aftermarket head unit.

I dont know the colors or number of wires coming out of the little amp for the sub but all you need are constant power, switched power, ground and 2 speaker wires for signal. The hard part (without a shematic) is figuring out which wires need to be hooked to what unless you pull the amp apart to see where the wires are soldered on the circuit board. You shouldnt need any adapters though I wouldnt think.

get one of these and be done with it

it plugs inline between your factory deck and the stock wiring harness and it gives you a pair of rca outs and the remote on signal.

I dont have the Factory HU, and my truck did not originally have Bose. I just want to try to get the Bose sub to some how work with my aftermarket HU. I may be dumb to what Im looking at, but it didnt look like that would work. That looked like a way to add another amp. ?

yeah thats to add an amp to a factory bose system, which i thought was what you are trying to do. anyway there is no way to make the amp work independently from the bose head unit as far as i know, best thing to do would be to chuck the bose amp and get a cheap little amp to power the little 6.5" sub.

one of the top few listed would be plenty for that tiny sub

Could you take a picture of the bose amp and sub and post them? We would be able to help you out better I think if we knew exactly what we were looking at.
