Default Bose stereo option (whats up with the sound)

So I have the extended cab 2003 gmc with the bose 7 speaker system. Well my question is the subwoofer hits hard and is very loud in the rear seats but not in the front seats. Isn't that retarded. So I guess I payed for the optional bose with subwoofer for the people in the back seat to injoy. I guess I will just have to add an amp and a 10inch or something to pump up the bass a notch. Later, Jared

actually if you unbolt it and reposition it to face outward it will help tremendously.

....where is it in your trucks?

In mine, the sub is up under the dash in front of the console...

I don't hear my sub much at all.

Ya the sub is in the console. It doesn't put out that much bass. Oh well I guess I will just make the engine louder and ignore the stereo.

That IS odd. You're not supposed to ever HEAR where the base is coming from. It's supposed to filter out no matter where it sits. You couldn't find the sub in my Denali... well... unless you already know where it is!
