Better alternator for 2006

What are the options for hi output alternators for 2006 silverado owners?

get one from a escaled same year as yours so the connector is the same. I thinl you will have to go to a slightly larger belt. or you can take it to a shop and have them upgrade the internals to a high output.

DB Electrical will make any output alt you want (105 - 250 Amp) in any color that will be a direct bolt / plug in. After 150 amps, I would suggest upgrading the main alt to battery wire to 4awg with a fuse of the appropriate size.

If you want to really get silly, talk to Ohio Generator and have them build you a nasty 300+ amp with an external adjustable regulator. They also have custom brackets and such to run multiples.

cheapest route, and the route i took, is to have a local shop build one for you. I had a 200 amp made for me out of a 145 housing for $1 per amp. A little cheaper and you dont have to worry about shipping.

+1 on Ohio Generator I have one of there 250 alts. I've had it for about 4yrs now with no problems.
