I have installed the efans in my 04 shorty 4.8 used corvette/camaro fans built my controller (about $30)
have LED headlight/fog lights, JL audio sub and amps usually cranked up stock 105 amp alternator no issues slight drop on the volt meter when they kick on but my z06, my camaro, my friends 2012 & 2014 silverado's all do it an those are factory installed
i can cruise in traffic radio & A/C blasting knock on wood no problems

The nelson provides the best current capacity and higher quality wire and relays and even grounds vs stock.
The biggest issue is normally people dont upgrade the alternator and do not change the tstat at the same time. Most trucks with the fan clutch have the lower output alt. Upgrading that as well as the anemic power cable from the battery junction box helps out significantly.
We will be working on a heavy duty hybrid with upgrades that includes everything needed but is alot cleaner than the nelson harness.
