Odyssey are great batteries. Optima's are junk. Most brands are just rebranded. Last one I bought I just got the warranty and stuck the receipt in the glove box. Believe it was a interstate.

I know most batteries are produced by only 3 companies world wide with the exception of a few. Odyssey from what I have seen personally are awesome. Optima as everyone has stated aren't what they used to be. I had one good one out of 4. All 4 were replaced inside of 4 years.

I think I'm going to break down and buy an Odyssey.
What model Odyssey would be a good candidate for an 07 Tahoe?

I'm considering Odyssey 34-PC1500T 850cca or Odyssey 65-PC1750T which is lighter and has 950cca.

The one thing most don't know about batteries for cars is that there are only a few real battery manufacturers in the world so all these different brands are basically the same thing. I would recommend you don't buy the cheapest one and make sure you maintain it properly and you should be fine.

If for any reason you will kill your battery on a regular basis like leaving a stereo on or lights on for a purpose then you need to buy a deep cycle. Other than that you are good.

I have not seen any negative reviews about Odyssey batteries yet, well besides being expensive.

Do you want more CCAs?

The top of the line sears die hard batteries were the same as the Odyssey. The outsides were exactly the same other than color. I'm not sure if they are still the same but they used to be less money. It might be worth looking into.
