Default Automatic Headlights

I did a search and could not find the info I need. I am about to put HID's in my truck and I do not want them to go out early due to comming on and off all the time. Has anybody figured out what size resistor to use to override the automatic lights? If so where did you wire it in at?--Tony

BTW the truck is a 99, the dome light button thing will not work for me.

I just depress my parking brake every time I shut the truck off, lights don't start unless I release the brake after the truck is started.

Does this make the drls switchable? As in if I want I can turn them on at night? Or does this just turn off the drls in the day?

This makes the headlights manual, the drl function will not be affected.

Glad to know that it's a 1.5k ohm resistor...maybe I'll swap out my LED for one soon. I like the idea of the switch too
