Default anyone heard of Rosen products

I had one of these units put in my truck yesterday.
Looks factory and has lots of nice features.

Sounds terrible. Lots of static, crackling on FM, volume modulates by itself.
Haven't tried a CD yet
Wondering if it is a poor installation or poor product before I go back to the
dealer.
Anyone know anthing about them??

I'm familiar with their DVD units, from what I remember they were an inexpensive unit that performed well for the price, but weren't always reliable.

If the problem is only on FM, I'd think that it would be something with the antenna or connection, or even an internal circuit. Hopefully it's an easy fix because the head unit looks totally factory.

i used to sell a lot of their dvd units...no experience with the nav stuff. it seemed to work good for the money. maybe a filter will help the static. it may just be a bad connection.

Looks pretty factory. Hope you get all the kinks worked out though. I got a 7" Rosen headrest monitor from a UN-7200 kit with some other things in a trade the other day but don't have the control module. Apparently the modules are expensive so I probably won't get to use it but this is the only other time I have ever heard of Rosen.

ive been looking into getting one for my avalanche, your must not have recognized the metric units! haha I saw the 23*C on the climate control and at first was like WTF 23*? Then I realized you were in the land up north!

Give us some more feed back on the Rosen unit though - What model is it? 7xx? , 1100, 1200? I think those were there model numbers

i curious on how the unti uses the onstar phone system, if you could offer feedback.. can it store numbers instead of looking at my phone for a number just to say it to the onstar lady. will it bluetooth with cell phones?

Just get a real, aftermarket radio that actually performs.
