Anybody in SoCal do custom audio?
#1
I've got 2 12" Kenwood subs and a Sony amp I jacked out of my wife's car. Does anybody either do it themselves or know of a place I can get a custom box built? It's California, I'm sure there are some places around here somewhere.

I'm in San Diego, and can do any standard enclosure, or any fiberglass enclosure.
What kind of budget are you looking at? For a standard square box, it would be in the $100 range. I would paint it with truck bed liner. Carpet is extra. This would be a computer spec'd box built to your goals. Sealed or ported.
Fiberglass will be in the $300+ range. Vinyl, carpet, truck bed liner paint as options, both vinyl and carpet are extra.
If you have a Dakota Quad Cab, I'd have to check it out first, as it may require quite a bit of work in terms of a combo of fiberglass and wood to get a custom setup for ONLY one 12". If you could post some pictures of where you would like the subs, that would help me immensly.
BTW, MTX has a simple premade 10" system. It would probably cheaper to go this route then to get something custom made.
I'd suggest though you shop around. There are so many places to choose from, whether it be a shade tree mechanic like myself, or an established and reputable shop.

unredeemed, you do any install work, I am just seeing if anyone still in So. Cal does install work, I just have a reg. cab 94 short bed, already have the amp radio but will need to get a sub and door speaker, I figure since I likely only need one set of front speakers I should get a good pair still figuring out which ones thinking Alpine
