amp power wire to battery terminal

Default amp power wire to battery terminal

how are you guys hooking your power wire to the battery? i can't seem to thread the bolt if i add the ring terminal...its not long enough. should i get a longer bolt? do they have these special bolts at home depot?

You can get longer bolts for the GM side post batteries at most audio shops.

I just notched the little red battery box where the Alternator ties in and came up from the bottom with my 4-guage

I just ordered some nice Monster connectors from ebay to use on the post connectors on top of the battery. Of course that only works if you have a battery with the posts and side connectors. Here are some pics I took for something else but you can kind of see what I got going on.

you can get a battery tap at best buy, oriellys, auto zone etc. fot the side battery posts.

i got a two bolt set up the one bolt goes into the battery and then there is a second bolt that goes inside that where the cable is connected
