On your truck, if its an 04 sierra, does not have a fuse. It goes through the realy in the resistor.... I apologize. MOST GM vehicles send the high speed straight through a fuse instead of the resistor. Get a resistor from the stealership(according to nonnie) you will be fine.

dang.. i wonder if they would warranty it. they warrentee'd my speedo and they would have warranted my cat, if i didnt have a welded exhaust

 

I had a short in the wiring harness connector for the resistor at the fan motor. I could always smell something burning. Checked the connector and fount one wire was not making a good connection and was getting hot and melted some wire insulation and some plastic. I bent out some of the metal on the female side to make a better connection and works fine.
