Default 99-07 Alternate Battery Location

You guys with 99-07s that have moved the battery to the upper left part of the engine bay from the lower right using the accessory battery tray, how did you go about it? Specifically what did you do with the original side battery connectors?

I've ran two batters in parrallel and ran wires over to second battery got a deisal battery holder and took out brase from fender to firwall, you could just replace both wires and maake it work, I havnt seen a relocate kit, the original battery was a side and top post and just ran new set wires off the top post, you can get crimp connecters for wire that are that big and just add wire to relocate to wherever u want

I want to use the main spot for a bigger meth tank...I know I could just connect a big wire to it, but I was wondering how everyone else did it...hoping for a cleaner method than that.

I was looking into this also. I'm going to try and use parts of a dmax, tray and cables I imagine the factory cables should be the correct length. I have a catalogue with all the part numbers at home. When I get home I'll send you some part #s.

These are the only two pics I have and I can't find the charger to my camera to show you it finished. I can text them though. GM auxillary battery tray (I'll have to find the part number), re-routed the factory ground and connected it to the passenger side of the block where the AC bracket use to be bolted up, then ran the chassis ground down to body mount bracket welded on a stud to attach to, re-mounted the remote positive by the radiator overflow ran the factory wire down to the starter, connected a 4 guage wire from the remote postive to the fuse box (ran it under the engine by the balancer), shortend the positive cable from the remote positive to the battery and crimped on a factory end. Only issue would be the wire for the alternator, since I relocated mine to the passenger side it was a piece of cake.

I did mine on my 04 SSS similar, I had the interstate battery guy come by in his truck and make me some new custom length cables.Look into it.. they may do that in your area too.
